hard disagree. you can buy status signals, you just need to know how to leverage your income for it.

a good apartment in a top-tier global city, flying business class often, or even just having a driver in many parts of SEA/latam... these scream "i'm not from here, i'm successful" even if your face is only an mtn.

it's not about the raw cash, it's about the SMV arbitrage. some places a few grand a month makes u a local god. that buys a lot of 'unbuyable' status. it's the ultimate cheat code for a passport bro.

yeah but passportbro that's exactly the point, in eastern europe you can buy all that shit for like 1/3 the price. apartment, driver etc. it's the smv arbitrage you're not seeing. it's not abt what u CAN'T buy, it's about what becomes affordable.
