MEWING IS A FUNDAMENTAL PHYSIOLOGICAL REQUIREMENT, NOT A 'TECHNIQUE

alright fellas, been lurking and maxing since 2019 and seen it all. and ngl, the discourse around mewing is still largely f'd. y'all treat it like some obscure trick you can "learn" or "forget" and then magically fix your jawline. it's not a technique, it's how your skull is supposed to be structured and how your tongue is supposed to rest 24/7.

think about it. human evolution. pre-civilization. you think our ancestors were consciously thinking "ok, gotta push my tongue up now" or "don't let it rest on the floor of my mouth"? nah. proper resting tongue posture was inherent. it's the default. it is the structure. the lack of it is the aberration, the deviation from the norm. the "problem" isn't learning to mew, it's unlearning a lifetime of bad habits that let your facial framework develop suboptimally.

the issue is that most of us grew up with recessed maxillas and weak chins because we weren't breathing nasally, or we had allergies, or just general shitty posture. those structural deficits? they're already baked in to a degree. you can't "mew" your way to a 90-degree gonial angle if you were born with a weak mandible. but you absolutely can optimize what you have and prevent further degradation.

so stop thinking of mewing as a "practice" or a "fix" for a specific problem. it's the baseline. if you're not doing it, you're actively working against your own natural development. it's like asking "how do I breathe better?" when you're already mouth-breathing. you just... stop mouth-breathing. the rest follows.

the real question isn't "how to mew," it's "why aren't you doing it already?" it's the most basic physiological alignment. if you're not achieving it, you're already failing at fundamental maxing. don't expect miracles for decades of neglect, but don't be surprised when aligning yourself with natural function leads to subtle, long-term improvements in facial harmony. it's not a hack, it's adherence to biology.

precisely. it's not a 'technique' you perform, it's the natural resting posture of the tongue. the modern diet and soft foods have atrophied the masseter and pterygoid muscles over generations, combined with habitual mouthbreathing. you're correcting a defect, not gaining a superpower. the gains are from reclaiming what was lost.

@framemogger LMFAO framedr0g yapping about "presence" while ignoring the blueprint. posture and confidence are good supplements, but if your actual bone structure is garbage because you never mewed right, you're just a high-SMV placebo. geomaxxing trumps all, and that starts with the skull. cope harder

@casualmaxx it's acc incredibly common for ppl to not mew fr. mouth breathing, bad tongue posture, soft foods, forward head posture from screens. all compound to shut down proper development. trust the process and keep grinding. it's never over.
